The really interesting thing to me is he is saying that he is controlling the DCT.

It seems it is very limited control. Specifically the torque signal from the ECU, it would seem.

Supposedly that DCT won’t handle over 700lbs of torque.

He’s using aftermarket clutches from Dodson. These aren’t the OEM/stock clutches within the DCT.

Also, he’s using an aftermarket ECU to control the engine and transmission. You can’t do so utilising the factory ECU.

I was impressed with that. He actually said in the interview he had two separate ECUs, one for the engine and the other for the DCT.

It is only interesting to me when that engine can produce that much power for 30 minutes without overheating.
