I am just starting the research now so I figure reach out perhaps somebody already is on the quest. I cannot take one more track session with the C8 Seats
I have both the 1 and 2 I hate them both ... They are useless Looking to go Sparco Evolution or like with Hans and a RPM Rear Bar.
Any suggestions Bring it on.. Please don't feel the need to explain how magical the c8 seat belt or seats are... There not !!!
This is not a DD it's a track car.
Agree 100% with everything you said. Here is my car.
If this is a track car for you, go ahead and order proper suspension for the car, the stock suspension is garbage and is way too soft. Dont bother with the KW V3 coilovers, they are spec'd with spring rates to make them european compliant (within 50lbs of stock rates), call Cicio Performance and get a set of MCS 2 ways or 3 ways. We have refined the spring rates on the MCS's and continue to develop the perfect package for the C8 with MCS.

So how do you deal with the airbag light or such " What happens is there a warning light ?
I am going to OG tomorrow to look at seats I will check that out for sure.

There is an airbag light on the outside of the dash, honestly the steering wheel covers it so its out of sight and mind in my opinion. On the dash itself it says 'Check Safety System' and you clear it by hitting the OK button.
These things dont prevent the car from performing as normal, launch control still works, remote start still works, etc etc.
Unfortunately, the C8 is still so new, that after-market is still catching up.... on my C7, I went with Brey Krause seat mounts and harness bar... I think they do the best work in the industry... fit like a charm, but they don't have anything out for C8 yet.
That said, I would DEFINATELY go with a FIA full-containment racing seat, harnesses, HANS, etc.... these cars are so fast that even at 8/10ths, you can have a really bad accident.
While I am not generally a fan of harness bars, IMHO, the construction of the C8 is, in effect a roll cage... the targa bar is stout in rollover, and the bulkhead behind the seat provides great rear-impact protection.
In my C7, I could swap the seat out in about 30 minutes.... with a !LT, you can just disconnect the seat connector, and that disables the airbag... EZPZ... the 2/3LT require a workaround to allow the mirrors to work... I assume the C8 is probably similar.
That's the plan. After trying a ton of seats I am going Sparco EVO with 6 point harness and the Rear cage system from Studio RSR.This is a 100 % Track car
so I am making it correct. even if a Z comes in the future I will still use this car constantly . Cannot wait to so coilovers. the Magnetic ride is just not the gig for me at the track
my 930 will massacre my c8 on corners and that's being kind to the c8.
911s get power down out of the turns like nobody's business.... my C7 turned-in and cornered great, but just couldn't get the power down... it was so tail-happy, it was scary... I had to run with the traction control on Sport... I assume the C8 will be better in that respect, but I'd expect to do some suspension tuning... I've heard numerous accounts (true or not) about understeer... but I suspect you can dial that out.
