Can the PDR record front cam (dash cam) and the rear view mirror cam (like a rear facing dash cam) at the same time?

Might be nice to have video footage if you get rear ended in traffic.

No it will not “ you can install a vantop 2 way from Amazon for $99. C8 needs the 10 inch as the 12 is to big.
just search mirror cam on Amazon. I agree rear video is great and at the track it’s a ton of fun to watch later .

I've got a 2lt with the PDR.

I wonder if Chevrolet had enough interest they could send out an over the air update to get the PDR to do it?

I doubt that. I suspect the PDR camera is hard-wired to the PDR unit under the dash just like the C7 version was wired with no other video stream available to the PDR. The PDR can be used as a front dash cam but that isn't the purpose for it being in the car. It is not only a video recorder but a data recorder that records a lot of the car's performance parameters. The PDR is a veritable bargain for people who track their cars. To provide the same capability with aftermarket products you would spend more than the retail price GM charges for the PDR/Nav unit. GM basically provides a bargain-priced quality video/data recording system and throws in a free Nav unit to boot.
