Default 2015 without Apple Carplay

So really disappointed that my newly purchased 2015 C7 does not support Apple CarPlay. I do not want to spend $1400 on a module. I can spend d less then half on an aftermarket new display. My question is will this effect the driving mode selection that is in settings. I’m ok with this going away if the driving mode selector switch still works. Can anyone help or point me in a good reasonable solution to get Apple CarPlay with out the $1400 module. Thank you. Love the car otherwise

I had the exact same issue when I rode in my good friends 2017 C7. I HAD to have CarPlay in my 2015. There's no way that I know of to bypass the $1400. I looked at many options and none would work with the built in screen. I bought my OEM GM CarPlay module from a company (I think they're no longer around) in Colorado. Back in 2017, the module was about $900.00. I took the car to Monster Customs here in Atlanta and they installed it for $200.00 and 2 hours of my time. Since they do custom work on Lambo's, Ferrari's, etc. I figured my Corvette was in good hands. I got the original module back, too and when I sold my 2015 this year (I have my C8 now!), the new owner got the module. One note, if you use XM Radio, the new OEM module has a different radio code. A quick call to XM swapped the new module into my account.

Default Nav tool

Well I just had Nav tool installed into my 2015 vette and it works great. Gotta figure out the way it works because it has hidden buttons but it works wirelessly through blue tooth for most items but it mirrors tour phone through an HDMI cable if you want to watch videos. Highly recommend though and cheaper then a $1400 module. I paid $599 for the module and a couple hundred to have it installed. Well worth it and it doesn’t effect any normal operations or settings in the vette.

Wrong forum 1st, this is the C8 page.

2nd there is no option other than to retrofit the module into the car to get AA/ACP installed. There are no 3rd party displays you can get or use in the C7 due the system integration.
