I have the C8 Z51 with the hydraulic front lift option. I recently had the car lowered where the front of the vehicle requires the lowering collars commonly sold by Paragon and Ciccio Performance. My problem is that after the install the car will now show a CEL when activating the raising/lowering function. After turning off the engine the CEL goes away but will only return when activating the raising/lowering feature. Thinking it was a "bad" electronic lowering module the dealer replaced it as a warranty item. The replacement fix did not cure the check engine light issue. GM was contacted by the dealer but no fix is available other than a possible software fix that might be developed sometime in the future. I find it hard to believe that I am the only guy experiencing this issue? I'm wondering if it is possible the technician installed the lowering incorrectly thus the CEL? I would sure appreciate comments from those who might have had this lowering performed on their car. Thanks in advance.

does the car actually raise all the way? Or does it raise a little and then stop and say service front lift and lower back down. And then lock out till you restart? If so. Then it probably needs to be bled. . I had that issue.

It actually raises all the way but it also says service front lift. The service front lift notice goes away after shutting the engine off. It does not return until I again actuate the lift system. The system has been bled and refilled.

hmm sounds like mine. . It would raise 99%, but If you listen the sound would change as it got almost to the top. Bleeding fixed mine, not sure what else it could be
Remove the modification and see if the light goes away. My first finger point would go to the vendor and/or mechanic and not GM because it was fine before the mod.

After leaving the car with a third mechanic for a few days, at a cost of $600, he identified and corrected the problem . The two electrical pins on the passenger side strut were reversed by the first dumb mechanic. He also noted that the re-assembly of the strut looked like a child had assembled it. So now the car is repaired and I'm pissed. Google reviews and phone calls are in order.
Glad you got it resolved but still such frustration and having to cost you additional 600 bucks. I do plan to handle all mods I do myself. Kind of helps to learn from other peoples mistakes also.

Who and where was #3? Looking to get mine completed once she arrives in March. Appears you maybe from Texas.
