Default DCT filter question

I bought a DCT filter at the dealer and when I opened the box there is the filter with the big O-ring at the end that goes up into the housing, the blue O-ring that fits the cover, 4 new bolts with locktite on them, AND a small yellow O-ring about an inch in diameter. Where does the yellow O-ring come into the picture????

Nope, there is another one that is in a bag and is only about 1 inch in diameter. The one in the pic is factory installed on the filter just like mine.

Maybe it dropped into one of the boxes by one of the packers by mistake?

The new part number filter comes with the small o ring for your transmission fill plug if you want to replace it.

Old p/n: 24299326 (same as in the 2020 owners manual)
new p/n: 24045729 (updated in the 2022 owners manual and includes additional o ring for fill plug)

Assuming the old p/n is still in stock somewhere, I would get the cheapest available. I have reused the original fill plug o ring with success.
