My neighbor just got her new C8 that she waited 8 months for and the car is down with a tranny issue. Dealer has the car a month now, saying they're waiting on parts. Something about some jarhead mechanic repair a new production model car.

 

My 2021 C8 is on day 50 waiting for a new transmission. GM has no time frame and dealer refuses buy back or replacement.

 

Run as fast as you can and get a Lemon Law lawyer ASAP to see if you have a case, I tried working with a dealer on a suburban I ordered that was a nightmare and had nothing, but problems.
They had it more than I did the first six months I later found that in Pa after thirty days of not having a vehicle for a safety issue, you may have a case, (Transmission, transfer case, on-star, radio, electric seats and electric windows all had issues and/or failures), Forgot the factory body repair that came to life after being in the sun the first month.
Worst vehicle I ever owned, and all GM wanted to do was repair/replace, regardless of time to repair or replace extend the warranty. Went to arbitration on my own, big a mistake. Binding Arbitrator was a volunteer and knew nothing about car repairs and I don't think she knew a wheel from a Lugnut Get the lawyer that knows the lemon law in your state.
The Dealer was a friend of mine, and he was as pissed as me and could not believe GM didn't replace the vehicle, He pulled the strings he could. I Should have gotten representation and gone to court to resolve.
At the end my dealership friend, traded me out of it for the next model year at next to no expense after 8 months of hell and having a new vehicle that was useless
