It would be just that cheap and nasty. You don’t own a car (if that’s the case) of this caliber and hack it up. If you can afford a $60K+ car you should beyond a doubt afford a great exhaust for $2K and up.
Who here has done it ? Are there any negative effects ? Im thinking it’s a cheap way to get some extra sizzle to the exhaust …
So the muffler is pretty complicated on this car and my feeling is that any shop that should do a good job deleting the muffler and welding up something new in its place will cost you as much as getting one of the more cost effective exhaust systems on the market.
I will be happy to get you a great deal on an exhaust if you are looking for some added noise ( And you can get rid of the square tips haha)

I have the MBRP muffler delete kit. Yet to install, but will report back when done.
This is the most cost savings setup here. Would be way cheaper than fooling / modding the OEM system and you also save a lot of weight. When I take my Non NPP setup off I might observe the design cut it open or something because the only cutaway I have seen was a NPP version.
Installed MBRP muffler delete a couple weeks ago. Love it. Start up is super loud, obnoxiously. Driving around is not loud at all, but get on it a little and it roars. So awesome.
ARH long tubes, stock cats, MBRP cat back. Wrapped some DEI to help heat shield.
Super easy install. Also, installed teh cicio perf dummy valve chip fooler code stoppers. they work as advertised.
Minor gripe, cutting oil and all the metal filings were left in the pipes from fabrication. Easily cleaned out with brakekleen and some rags, but still.....
