I wanted to ask our Corvette Community about the C8 2022 transmission issues. On FB Corvette blog people are writing about transmission replacement because of break down with less than 5000 miles. Some have posted changing transmission fluid at 2000 miles? Is this seen more on Z51 vs Non Z51? I am at 3000 miles on my 2022 non Z51 and have had no issue (BTW.. my 7th Vette and have never had major issues).Would appreciate honest feedback for clarification.
Thank you
Uno

It is not seen more in either z51 or non.
For some reason these transmissions are getting debris clogging passages and sensors.
Personally I will be flushing my passages and changing the fluid and filter at 1k miles and Chevy will change the filter again and flush again at 7.5k miles.
Id also highly recommend driving the transmission in track mode during break in so there is less clutch slipping.
So…I’m coming onto a highway from the on-ramp with no one in front of me and I go WOT but nothing happens. Motor revs but I’m just rolling. I let off the throttle and the transmission engages and I’m on my way. Not sure what to do if anything? Anyone else report this issue? 2022 700 miles.
My 2022 C8 only has 2600 miles and the check engine light comes on yesterday. Then find a notification from On-Star stating that it has identified an issue with the Engine and Transmission System. Please service you vehicle within "1" day. Huh???? And the dealer has no appointments available until Saturday........Which means no one will look at it until Monday. Anyone getting these notifications as well?
My C6 still hasn't had an issue with the transmission.
Does it list a specific code? sometimes that will give you a much better idea of what is going wrong. Do you have access to an OBD II reader? If you don't some auto parts stores will read your codes for free.
Hi ! Thanks for the info. We own a body shop and our mobile mechanic plugged in his tester just a little while ago. Looks related to a sensor module that needs updating??? Regardless, taking it to the dealer to further diagnose Don't want to clear any codes and keep driving (if you know what I mean). Will update once we get it back .

Yes, dealer is a good idea. These transmissions are highly dependent on sensors and computer logic, so bad things can happen if everything is not working properly with the sensors.

agree and can relate. Car refused to start the other day, service transmission message, totally locked up. Bad sensor basically computer thought the car was in drive not park. Dealer had it for a day make the repair along w a couple of recalls, so far so good.
doug
2020 6k miles
Spoke TOO Soon. Happened again 4 days after leaving the dealer. Back in the shop day 2 no word yet, techs say definitely sensor related but that’s what they said the first time UGH

These C8 have have so much technology that it’s worth spending the money on extended warranty in case a high ticket item needs repair.
