Default Radar detector

Good afternoon I have been searching he internet for 4 days now trying to find out and easier way to connect my radar detector. I have an escort 8500x50. When I had my c7 I used 12v in center console. However my c8 doesn’t have that option. I don’t leave plugged in all the time and trying to plug in while driving is difficult. I was told on a Facebook forum to hardwire to mirror. I bought mirror tap and bracket. When I removed plastic cap from behind mirror there isn’t any wires. 😮. Does anyone have any ideas on how to wire this detector so as cord is not dangling from mirror?

Plug it in your 12v pax footwell and run the cord inside the trim and have it pop out next to the mirror on the pax side. That 12v comes on with the car.

Is there some form of extension cord for that application. I hate to sound foolish, I’m jus not aware of what type of cord I’m looking for to be able to run through trim.

Go on Amazon type in your detector(Redline max360 etc..) and pick the one that works for you. I think a 12ft straight cord is that I used.

Would you please be able to give us a rear shot of the blend mount? I ordered one and I'm not sure I got the right one as it doesn't seem to fit on the stalk holding the mirror. Thanks in advance!
