My dealer has said for me to disconnect the 2 battery cables and touch them together to reset the car back to factory settings and this will solve my radio problems. Has anyone done this?

There is a reset to factory "button" under settings. I reset MY21 when i sold it.

I think your dealer was talking about draining residual charge in the electronics. That's supposedly a way to do a "soft reset" on the electronics if they get out of whack. I have heard disconnecting the negative battery cable and waiting 15 minutes will do that, but maybe touching the two cables together is a faster way to do the same thing.

The "reset to factory settings" puts everything back to original settings, losing any programmed settings you have. Probably not what you want to do for a problem with your radio.
