Our customer called it a Scorpion, rather than Hornet. Other than that correction, this is verbatim:
Let me start by saying that I realize that you probably made many dyno runs to get to the graphs on your website and I did not. We did four pulls before installing the Hornet and then two after. We did the pulls in both 4th and 5th gear and got identical results. The dyno is located in Farmington, NM at 5,700 feet altitude, so that may account for some of the difference, though the software is supposed to account for that. What you will see in my results for my 2020 Z51 C8 with 2,000 miles on it pretty closely mirrors the shape of your graphs. I am unable to understand the “burp” at about 4500 – 5000, but the curves are smooth up to that point. My max torque gain was at about 4800 rpms at 12.5ft. lbs. and max horsepower gain was at that same 4800 rpms and at 12+ hp.
Am I happy with the results? Yes. I don’t know if the science behind your design is sound, but it sure seems logical to “focus” the airflow through the airflow sensor. What is truly outstanding is the quality of the entire assembly. Except for having to remove 4,862 screws to get to the air box, it was a snap to install!
Good work!

Maybe the ECU needed more time to adjust. 5rwhp is absolutely nothing and would be the same as the aftermarket filters. Occasionally aftermarket headers fail to show huge gains as advertised and quite often minimal. Having said that, it appears that Halltech Hornet is pretty consistent in the ballpark regarding dyno numbers.
I am happy with my AFE dry filter that Paragon tested 5 rwhp gain above 5200 rpm, along with several other air filters. A quality air filter will give most or all the gains as some aftermarket air intakes gains.
To back up my statement, LMR dyno tested Halltech's air intake and used a baseline with a K&N Filter only. Their results were 2-5 HP gains on the Halltech air intake over baseline with K&N filter. Torque was the same.
I have read about different aftermarket parts and their effect in HP gains for the C8. GM engineers did their homework on the C8!
