Default Shift Lights

Would someone post pic or video of their shift lights coming on? I ask cause I have never seen mine come on in my 2021C8 and am not sure if and when I should see them. If I recall, at Ron Fellows, I saw them.

I believe you have to be in track mode with a specific HUD display for it to come up. I'll check mine tomorrow and see if I can tell.

I've been in track mode on the track, and still don't see it in HUD.

I could have sworn I've seen it in other modes when in manual mode.

Went and drove mine after reading this. Had so much fun, forgot to take pics. But here is what I found. In Z mode, I didn’t have any shift lights.

My HUD settings rotate with assigned mode, and for me, when I went to track mode, the HUD had shift lights at the top. The lines come together at redline. Made for some fun on/off ramps. Note, they only light up in higher RPMs when it makes sense to have the visual near red line.

I thought to myself you might be in Z mode thinking you are in track mode. I just programmed my entire car and there might be way to assign the HUD shift lights to a specific mode. If this is true, you might have accidentally unassigned it if you can’t find in track mode.

Assuming you accidentally unassigned that HUD display from track mode, go into track mode. Use steering wheel selector arrow button on right and go all the way to last screen. Scroll to see HUD Display setting. There, you should be able to customize your heads up. Mine is set to rotate with assigned modes.

Go to track mode first and see what you have. Shift lights are at the top of display I think.

Default Video of shift lights

I finally found some video showing the shift lights that I do not see on my C8. You'll see in the video, it's not in Track mode either.

Watch this video from 1:55 to 2:03

Those shift light rings are in Sport tach mode.

Put it in Sport mode, or you can also set/save your cluster display preference in Z and My Mode. I use the Sport tach with the rings in My Mode and the Track tach in Z Mode. You can also save the HUD display in Z and My Mode. Display options are in the Driver Info Center (DIC), the menus controlled by the arrows and wheel on the right of steering wheel.

yea, they are in a circle pattern on sport mode. in my experience you really have to be in the upper rev band of each gear to see them display. if i'm in sport mode around town i don't typically see them. easier to see in manual shift mode, and you can drag a gear longer - they will show then
