2023 C8 stutters during acceleration
Brand new, accelerating at about 20-30% effort and the car stutters and shudders, shaking and rumbling as the engine seems confused about which gear to go into.
dealership has no clue what it is. No bulletins and no “check engine” error. Note we did have a check engine for a similar issue and it was fixed and it sounds similar.
any suggestions?

What was the old code that they said they fixed? I would just run it harder and in different driving modes. The trans does learn driving habits and might just clear up.
Be sure you have good fuel in it also. Not sure how long you have had it or how old the fuel is.

Was determined by GM it was the cam magnets and timing was off 1-2 degrees. Entire engine, trans, exhaust had to be pulled out for a repair under the timing cover. talk to your service advisor about this, worth considering as it took me months to figure out thru trial and error testing it. Keep us posted.

hey Dan, mine is also new and having the same issue! The Chevy dealership told me the same thing that they don’t know what it is. They even recommended me to go to a corvette specialist lol. Please let me know what you found out!! 512 584 9760. Please text me if possible

Be sure to read this thread, I think I was one of the first to have these symptoms a couple years ago. Since then, others have had the same issue and others had similar symptoms that ended up being a bad injector. So, if not a transmission issue, have the tech look into a bad injector or cam magnet. Easy test, keep it in park or neutral and rev the engine. If the issue (hesitation and stumbling) is there, it's not the transmission. Best of luck, they will get it figured out.
