Default C8 HTC, must have options??

Currently shopping the preowned market and need to know the "must have" options for 1/4-mile runs (occasionally) and cruising around. Any helpful feedback is appreciated or a link on this topic.
thanks

I have HTC base model and I have been to the drag strip with it. What are you looking for in particular?

Currently looking at a 22 or 23 C8 HTC and wanted to know the "must have" options. Found one 3LT (concerned about delamination on dashboard) but with no options and a 2LT (preferred as they appear to do better against dashboard delamination). The 2LT has the front lift and performance exhaust options. So, I just wanted to get an idea as to what most owners see as a practical necessity and those items that make little difference with this platform. Note, it will not be a daily driver, but I will cruise on nice weekends and special events ie occasional track rentals-1/4 mile (once a year). During my search, i have noticed the 3LT with no options show stronger values than 2LTs with say the front lift, painted nacelles and performance exhaust. Anyways, any feedback is appreciated.

My 2022 TR HTC is one year old today, 4400 miles, after going to Ron Fellows school in August must haves are Z51 with Mag Ride, glad I got those options with front lift that I have used a few times vs turning around or chancing scraping. I can really tell the difference in tour mode vs Z Mode set suspension medium or track mode. Oh we have Natural Dip interior and I love it. I changed exhaust and kept the valves with AFe. I also did base wheels as I wanted after market wheels so I have 2 sets, one for if I track and all season non run flats continental and they are great vs run flat tires. Oh I carry a pump, goop, plug kit, done this since C5 did this with the Z06.

1/4 mile and just cruising around probably wont benefit from Z51. Maybe an extra set of wheels with different tires would help?

For me, 2LT and above is a must with an HTC to extend the top down driving season with the heated seats/steering wheel. That's about it for must have.

For me, the only real must have option was HTC with 2LT, mag ride and NPP. Nice to haves are Z51 (unless you're planning on doing road course track days, then it's a must have), which I skipped because it was on constraint. Other things that I did end up ordering (spot finally came up last month) were:
  • 70th anniversary - which seems pricey until you realize all you get: special paint color, full suede interior (only available on the 70th), 3LT with GT2 seats, and the upgraded black forged wheels. The GT2 seats and upgraded wheels were things I was interested in, and after riding in my buddies Huracan with full suede interior, I decided I really wanted the 70th if I could get it
  • stealth interior trim - not super expensive and I think looks much better than all the bright silver trim
  • front lift - I'm probably one of the few people that really need it (at least until I can get the driveway on the house we just moved to redone)
  • Carbon Flash painted roof & nacelles - I think this looks really good on the HTC, but that's a personal preference and honestly can be added later by wrapping those areas

Can you clarify "full suede interior". Also the "Black Forged Wheels". I am trying to spec out mine and when I choose, "suede inserts" or "Black Forged wheels" it kicks me out of the 70th anniversary package. Also even with the package selected its really difficult to tell what is suede and what isn't vs the already standard 3LT options like the roof and A pillars etc. I want as much suede as possible but dont want to also lock myself out of suede inserts and black forged wheels etc. Thanks!

When you select the 70th anniversary package, it comes with the full suede interior and the 20 spoke forged wheels (they are actually gray, not black). You don't manually select them because they are already there. When doing the configuration on the website, select either coupe or HTC, then 3LT, then on exterior color select either Carbon Flash Metallic or White Pearl Metallic Tricoat, which will automatically add the 70th anniversary package. This video is probably the best I've seen really showing the interior seude:
It's literally everywhere: dash, center console, door panels, steering wheel, visors, headliner, etc. The only thing that's not suede oddly enough, are the seats.

Got it now, I think I was a bit confused by the Black wheels, thanks for clarifying it's the Gray ones with the red stripe. I checked out the video and as you say, suede all over the place. However... not on the seats.

Yeah, I really wish they'd done white sides with black suede centers on the seats, but even if you choose the competition seats (which gets that color layout), they still aren't suede centers.

2LT, Z51, mag ride and front end lift are all must haves. In my opinion. I have owned two, a 2022 Coupe 2LT with Z51 and mag ride and 2023 HTC 70th Anniversary with mag ride. I wish I had ordered Z51 on the 2023 and front end lift on both. I didn’t care for the white seats in the 70th Anniversary car they were hard to keep clean.

Procharger if you want to give them $22k for the kit alone. One mod... done.
