this is fair! Solid response. I agree

My wife hates it, took her out tonight and she hates the annoying noises, especially going into V-4 mode, said it sounds cheesy, (it kinda does)

So David, the touring Paragon set up with your factory headers and cats sounds not good when in the awful V4 mode, what other annoying noises are you and your wife hearing? Glad your telling your story and being truthfull, I have always been considering the AWE touring to pick up some needed exhaust noise (my car is a Non NPP) but also do not want to make the V4 to unpleasant. I seems the Paragon touring system is louder and naturally makes the V4 mode louder also. But I am intrigued by the Paragon price

My car is a Non PPE also. I believe that some of the sounds generated are rattles etc. We have a door rattle, it had it since day 1, but the exhaust now makes it even worse. Going into V-4 is awfull.

Any drone or unpleasant sounds in V8 mode?

If in fact the exhaust is making rattles show up , then there must some sort of sound vibration or a actual
vibration from the exhaust maybe touching something . Even so, if the system makes the V4 mode awful , I am not in the market. I do not like V4 mode as it is, and I do not want to be driving around in manual mode all the time. What Paragon could have done was to have AFM valves in there system.

Here’s a short someone else did at the track of my Paragon Exhaust (Standard) w/ Corsa Cats. The red C8 I believe was stock.

Took car to Chevy dealer, they scanned it and it had 2 CEL's, P0171: P0174, he supects when they installed cat back and cold air kit they improperly hooked up a sensor and it fell off. Have to wait for Monday to take back to the place that did install.
Codes were Fuel Trim System lean.

Have the Paragon touring system also. Going on two months since installation and love it.

The V-4 mode sounds awful driving around town, (from inside the car. Don't really know how it sounds from outside the car) so I just put in "Z" mode or manual to prevent it from going into V4 mode...problem solved. It's not so bad if you're cruising on the freeway. It actually sounds like a small engine car with an oversized exhaust system...just not enough engine output for the exhaust.

Overall, I love it despite the V4 issue. It just sounds boss without being overwhelming on the street.

Cold start is a major problem for your neighbors and anyone inside your house. My neighbors 3-4 houses down know when I'm about to leave the house. When I start it up in the garage, my entire house shakes and rattles for about a minute when I start it up, before the engine settles down to normal idle. It is EXPLOSIVE on start up. I have to warn my wife before I start it, because it simply scares her when she doesn't know I'm about to start it. I usually start it remotely to let it warm up and settle down before I open the garage door to spare the neighbors. Even a warm start is explosive, but it settles down really quick when it's warm. I often start it up from a distance when walking to the car in a parking lot. You should see the reaction on people near the car. Anyone close to the car will literally jump, and anyone near or far is going to turn and look.

The gurgling effect is awesome. Natural decelerating or downshifting to a stop is just music to my ears. You will love it.

I get in the car and drive it even when I don't have anywhere to go just to listen to it.

I'm not into racing or anything, but I do like the sound of a great exhaust system that is not too loud. My favorite has always been the sound of the V8 Mustangs for years and years. Ford has been so consistent retaining their sound over the years. I don't even hear the Mustangs anymore since getting this Paragon system.

And the tips look great just to boot.

The videos they put out to listen to system does not do it any justice. You (I) cannot truly judge it based on the video. It sounds nothing like the video.

You will not be disappointed with the Paragon system.

I had mine installed at Modified Motorsports in Livermore Ca. Ava's crew did an excellent job from start to finish.

If you want just a little more get the track version. But as stated the sport cats will open it up for sure. I have some removable baffles (in the exhaust not the tips) that muffle my whole system down for I have two tracks I go to that require lower decibels.

Sound is so subjective also.
I have the titanium paragon exhaust as well, can you share which brand removable baffles you use? I also need them for track day. Thank you!!

(noticing any loss of power?)

I also have Paragon Touring exhaust. It sounds phenomenal. Just not in 4 cylinder mode, but I drive exclusively in manual mode and occasionally in Z mode with shifting set to track. It sounds soooo much better than stock, and by driving in manual mode you can make the exhaust scream. You'll be very happy. Cicio did my install, I highly recommend them.

I’m leaning towards the Paragon Touring for my 2024 C8. Non NPP.
Have you had any heat issues? Other posts talk about the Borla and the heat shielding they provide. But all other after market exhaust systems I’ve seen are not wrapped in any way with heat shields. Any issues for you regarding heat (such as on the aft portion of the body work, etc)?
thanks.

I have the track exhaust and have had zero heat issues whatsoever.

I wrapped the pipes in DEI heat shield to see if it would make a difference on engine temps.

saw a negligible difference. Looks cool though.
