Thoughts on Paragon Catback
this is fair! Solid response. I agree
vibration from the exhaust maybe touching something . Even so, if the system makes the V4 mode awful , I am not in the market. I do not like V4 mode as it is, and I do not want to be driving around in manual mode all the time. What Paragon could have done was to have AFM valves in there system.

The V-4 mode sounds awful driving around town, (from inside the car. Don't really know how it sounds from outside the car) so I just put in "Z" mode or manual to prevent it from going into V4 mode...problem solved. It's not so bad if you're cruising on the freeway. It actually sounds like a small engine car with an oversized exhaust system...just not enough engine output for the exhaust.
Overall, I love it despite the V4 issue. It just sounds boss without being overwhelming on the street.
Cold start is a major problem for your neighbors and anyone inside your house. My neighbors 3-4 houses down know when I'm about to leave the house. When I start it up in the garage, my entire house shakes and rattles for about a minute when I start it up, before the engine settles down to normal idle. It is EXPLOSIVE on start up. I have to warn my wife before I start it, because it simply scares her when she doesn't know I'm about to start it. I usually start it remotely to let it warm up and settle down before I open the garage door to spare the neighbors. Even a warm start is explosive, but it settles down really quick when it's warm. I often start it up from a distance when walking to the car in a parking lot. You should see the reaction on people near the car. Anyone close to the car will literally jump, and anyone near or far is going to turn and look.
The gurgling effect is awesome. Natural decelerating or downshifting to a stop is just music to my ears. You will love it.
I get in the car and drive it even when I don't have anywhere to go just to listen to it.
I'm not into racing or anything, but I do like the sound of a great exhaust system that is not too loud. My favorite has always been the sound of the V8 Mustangs for years and years. Ford has been so consistent retaining their sound over the years. I don't even hear the Mustangs anymore since getting this Paragon system.
And the tips look great just to boot.
The videos they put out to listen to system does not do it any justice. You (I) cannot truly judge it based on the video. It sounds nothing like the video.
You will not be disappointed with the Paragon system.
I had mine installed at Modified Motorsports in Livermore Ca. Ava's crew did an excellent job from start to finish.

Sound is so subjective also.
(noticing any loss of power?)
I have the Paragon Touring system, no codes, drone in touring mode but who drives in touring mode, its got a nice mean start up, sound gets stronger in sport and then track mode, looks great, well built, great price, whats not to love?

Have you had any heat issues? Other posts talk about the Borla and the heat shielding they provide. But all other after market exhaust systems I’ve seen are not wrapped in any way with heat shields. Any issues for you regarding heat (such as on the aft portion of the body work, etc)?
thanks.

I wrapped the pipes in DEI heat shield to see if it would make a difference on engine temps.
saw a negligible difference. Looks cool though.
