P park button occasionally doesn’t release when putting in great have to pound on console to release park this just happened
Is "great" supposed to be "gear"? I can't quite tell what you are saying. If you pull the park button, the car goes into park. If you are in park, and pull the drive or reverse button, the car should exit park and go into forward, or reverse. Are you saying that when you pull the drive or reverse button the car stays in park?
If so, and pounding the console helps, that does sound like a connection or switch problem. Or is the button actually physically stuck? In another thread, someone said they put some sort of decorative cover over the gear selection switch (adhesive backed carbon fiber I think) and the cover interfered with the actual motion of the buttons. Is something interfering with the button on yours?
