https://www.vehicleservicepros.com/s...sfire-concerns This article, is using narrow band 02 as a basis. Straight from the article. "I began teaching this technique to Ford technicians in the Advanced Drivability courses starting in 2000" That was over 20 years ago.

As you can see from the article and Bosch, open loop or closed loop the secondary o2 is not just a cat efficiency monitor as many believe.

from another source...

That book was written by the actual engine management designers.

I've seen it many times personally now.

Another article although not as good as the book from Bosch, Simos, etc...

It is typical to see the downstream sensor voltage floating in the 350 to 650mV range when the cat is lit off, the system is in closed loop and there are no misfires or other concerns. In fact, most manufacturers monitor the downstream oxygen sensors and will tweak LTFT to improve fuel

I'll amend my statement -- downstream O2 readings do not have a meaningful impact to trims.

Fixed my issues - but many type O2 extenders - get the biggest you can get - I used Fabspeed - as much as I hate to recommend .... but they solved the issue.

Good luck - I know it is maddening -

Yes, added the O2 extender on drivers side and CEL and code has not come back - Fabspeed is expensive, but bigger than most and fits - mine was "just a stingray" so not sure on z06

is your code only for drivers side? Forget what code, but it will say what side - hope it is drivers as that was "easy" to get too - I believe the passenger side would require some R&R some parts - drivers was reachable with wrench to just remove O2 and install the extender - don't remember if I had 45 or 90 - might call Fabspeed on Monday and also ask about your engine (thinking for some reason you said Z06) will clear with extenders.....
