Started the 2021 z51 for the first time since October, its been on the tender so battery is good. Start up and I get an engine light on, rev'd the engine a bit and got some backfire sounds coming out of the muffler, that has since stopped. There were other error messages that came on about traction control and ESC which I cannot recreate. It has 1k miles. I assume this won't work itself out and need to bring in for service.
1000% the dealer will clear the code and tell you to come back if it reappears.
save yourself hours of bs and disconnect the negative term for a few minutes and reconnect. Code will be cleared.

Sounds like misfire you had there...the TC and ESC light will normally come on...get out of Jersey (my old home state) and get the car down here to Florida...no battery tenders down here...12 month driving...LOL !!!
The codes are P0300 & P050D. Just in Boca for a few weeks and probably buying a condo at the boca raton resort. Got to get out of NJ
OK, P0300 random misfire and a P050D…cold start rough idle”…and yes as mentioned you can disconnect the battery but if the no MIL illuminated now and the code is “history” and doesn’t come back it will eventually disappear…I’ve been out of Jersey over 2 years and will NEVER go back there !!..always a good idea to put some gas stabilizer in the tank if you let it sit for that long…or put some non ethanol fuel in it…a lot of that gas down here.
