Default Seat memory & recline functions not working

It didn't last a month before my 3LT driver seat reclining function and memory stopped working.

They both worked just fine (or so I thought) until I let a friend drive the car this past weekend. He's a much smaller guy than I am so he moved the seat forward and the seatback more upright. Then when I tried the seat memory button the seat moved all of the way forward. The same happened for both the #2 and exit memory positions. I then tried to use the adjustments to put it back where I wanted it, but the seatback will not recline past a 90 degree angle it seems. All of the other seat movement functions seem to work except for the recline and memory recall functions.

Does this involve a trip to the dealership to correct, or is there something I can do to get this working again on my own?

No idea if it'll work on the C8, but in my Jeep when the seat functions stopped working the solution was to move the slide and recline fully forward then all the way back. Worth trying to move everything full forward and then full back (if it lets you) to see if that restores your functionality.

Follow-up

Moving the seat up and forward freed up the recline function a little. It's odd because it was never within inches of the back wall, but in the lowest position it wouldn't move at all. Positioned slightly higher, it will bump back about a 1/4" a a time. I'll have the dealer take a look at it on the next oil change.

Sounds to me like an issue with the limit sensors.
