Default Track Brake Pad Opions

Greetings fellow weekend track day enthusiasts!

Curious what serious track guys are using for their pads. My C8 has been great on track but am having some issues with pad material transfer and associated vibration from the stock pads. Looking at Carbotech but am interested in which variation people are using front/rear.

Thanks in advance!

Having good luck with Cobalt AR1’s with 100 treadwear tires and stock discs. When the discs wear out, at least on the front, I’ll probably get Girodiscs or maybe put Z06 brakes on.

Michelin Cup 2’s in factory sizes. Run VIR 10-12 times a year, which is fast and has a few hard braking zones.

Do you have experience with girodiscs? Are you suggesting the issue is with the rotor and not pads?

Carbotech guys that changed to cobalts reported no further issues. Those that switched to girodiscs also reported it helping. I'd say the issue is heat and both rotors and pads can help with it

I do have girodiscs and no issues but I'm not time attacking my car either and I usually run ps4s so I may need alot less brake than you
