C4 stalls
So I bought this car a few months ago. I’ve done the basic maintenance of spark plugs , oil, coolant ,PSF flush, fuel pump and filter. The fan seems to turn on when I crank the motor but turns off after a few minutes / when it gets about 120 coolant. The fan never comes back on when it gets up to temp. I stalled a few times at red lights/when in bumper to bumper traffic and goin fuel pressure test and got 7psi… replaced fuel filter and pump and got 40 psi… the car seems to cool fine when driving but when it’s just in traffic crawling it isn’t cooling well.. I was at a red light and took foot off brake and when I pressed gas it stalled out. Coolant temp 238. Started up and then drove fine as I got on Highway and coolant went all the way down to 197. I’m curious if anyone knows if the car has some sort of mechanism to shut down the motor if it’s getting too hot? Previous owner replaced entire ignition system so I don’t think it’s plugs coils or opti
