The EP Torx shear plate bolts have a shallow head. I have an EP socket - which I ground down a little, but my regular Torx socket has better engagement with less slippage. Still, it’s easy to slip off the bolts and i can see they are actually starting to round off.
Next time I have the plate off I am going to reinstall using one of these button head bolts. Both made from A4 stainless steel. The bolts with locking compound take a Torx-40 while the other takes a 5mm hex.
FYI these have a tensile strength of around 120,000 psi.
