So, I have started ordering parts and scheduling installs for my mild build.
I am going for an OEM+ build with mild changes that hopefully adds to an overall custom look and feel.
These are not meant to be huge performance gains or crazy wings. Just enhancing what is already there.
My biggest thing I have not decided on is tire size. I want to actually go up in sidewall and width F: 255/40/19 R:315/35/20. I am meeting with my local shop to measure what will fit with stock wheels and whether spacers will be needed or wanted. The labor is a rough estimates based on $120/hr labor rate.
Let me know what you all think of the list so far. My plan was always to not do Z51 or magride and use that money to make it my own.
What do I think? I think I would've spent $8K on Z51 and mag ride instead of all that crap. But that's just me.
that’s the beauty of you being able to buy what you want. In S FL with no corners Z51 is a waste of money for me and I’d rather do these items. Eventually will go to coil overs and a head/cam package when they are more proven.
Does the atak blue filter really do anything? What about coupling with a corsa or botla exhaust?
Good luck with the build...I had to have th 2lt trim options personally but appreciate the purist approach of the 1lt
Curious how wide you can go on the tires...i want to go wider as well in the as4s
I don’t think the filter will do much, it’s so humid here I change or clean(if aftermarket) air filters every oil change especially paper filters. Figured can’t hurt to try it.
Based off overall tire size compared to some of the 20/21 I think the upsized tires on 19/20 will fit. Going non run flat so plenty of size options.
I have the factory performance exhaust with black tips and want to keep that.

If you're going head / cam consider z51 as it adds the brakes a higher HP car would need, the better gearing and the better cooling which no way you could get yourself aftermarket for close to the price of z51.
But I'd get it if you were leaving the car stock and just put putting it around town

pads and high temp fluids will be more than fine. No track days planned.
If going supercharger Z51 would prob be needed cams won’t add crazy power.
I have driven ELSD cars, I prefer the mechanical diff. Don’t like fussing with modes just because I’m coming to an off ramp.
Everything but the cats and tires are ordered. I got tint on the car last week and the first piece of carbon fiber trim came in, the door piece is backordered.
I am thinking of doing the 2M HFC and blanket for $950. For my purposes double the price for a similar product doesn't make sense. If I ever go for real power I would go catless headers anyways so these may just be for a year or so.
The tires are in stock so waiting for the backordered items, the paragon spacers and the filter. Everything for this damn car is back ordered.
I have also found a shop to work with, Redline Motorsports. I have seen them used a couple other times on the forum and after talking to a dozen shops they seem the most ready to hot rod on the C8. All the other shops were either afraid to work on it all together or had a limited set of products they offered and only did those items, like a cat back or intake.
I made a short video of the trim, pretty impressed for just overlays.
Don't be so sure about those head and cam packages not adding a bunch of power. Early results are showing 80+whp gains from a cam alone. Properly set up and tuned on 93 octane these cars are going to be +115hp over a stocker. 600hp NA C8s are about to be common.
Car looks good. I think you should get some black lugs for those wheels.

Thanks and yea I have black ones I bought I just never put them on, they will get installed when the spacers go on.
I hope that's the case for the cam/head package. Coming from the Mustang world 500+wheel is so easy in comparison the head/cam package seems mild for the amount of work done. I had a 2019 Bullitt, all I did for power was LTH, HFC, H-pipe, and E85(from factory had GT350 intake and throttle body). On E it made 505RWHP on pump gas it made 470RWHP, it was tuned by Palm Beach Dyno who is local to me. Being flex fuel E85 was easy to run since on the fly could go back to 93.
I am waiting for the hardware and software to be aligned for the C8 platform. A ~520RWHP C8 will be nasty, especially if we can get those revs closer to 7K. That would really be the sweet spot for me.
Finally got the Motorsport+ Amber DRL module and Paragon 20MM spacers installed.
Overall very happy with the looks. This is my only car so not willing to sacrifice ground clearance to lower it even though that would make it look perfect.
With the Q9I wheels the shop had to do ZERO grinding of the factory studs which is great news! There was plenty of room and car drives the same just looks meatier.
The headlight modules are a fun change. They were super simple to do and can always go back to stock. Living somewhere there are so many C8's it's nice to have something to stand out visually.

Nice looking car
Redline is closing up shop so not sure who is going to any of your future engine mods that is local. Howard is headed up to Georgia for a new pace of life. Working with Vengeance he’s going to get some of us Floridians to take road trips for mods 😃

I didn’t end up using Redline. I had a mechanic friend help me do it. Not sure where I’d have the cats installed if I go that route.

on my 23 Stingray I went 2M cat deletes and headers before I sold the car when my 24Z was coming.
The car was loud in Track mode which I set to MyMode.
