Experiencing Unusual Engine Performance in My C8 Corvette"
I've been having a bit of an issue with my C8 Corvette lately. I've been noticing a slight hesitation and occasional jerking during acceleration. It's not consistent, but it's definitely noticeable, especially when I'm trying to get up to speed quickly. I've tried different driving modes, thinking it might be related to that, but the problem persists.Have any of you experienced similar problems with your C8 Corvettes?
I think I'm experiencing the same "stutter" when I jump the throttle in lower gears.
Also, I found the trans not shifting up properly, leaving the revs hanging while waiting for the shift

You might try adding two additional quarts of fluid
have you popped any codes? I had same issue, but CEL came on after the second day of weird shifting. I had a ton of debris in my trans according to dealership. They originally thought i would need a new tranny, but the new TSB is to flush the system repeatedly swap the filter and see if codes clear. in the end it was just a solenoid getting debris, and i got the tranny filter changed for free as well as a system flush. drives like a dream now.
Sounds like the same symptoms I had a year ago, no cel but hesitation and a jerking feeling. Long story short it was a bad cam magnet and engine had to be dropped out for the repair.
Others on here had the same issue and their dealer tried everything but that repair to no avail. Bring this up as a possibility when discussing with your service dept, they have to get an engineer involved and it can be easily misdiagnosed.
I hope it's something simpler for your sake but keep the bad cam magnet in mind, it controls your timing and when its off, the symptoms you mentioned are the result.
I had no cel or anything, just the jerkiness and hesitation when switching gears (I would sometimes have to switch between drive and reverse repeatedly when parking or starting off to get it to finally move). I did the filter swap at about 3k miles and the transmission went from godawful to perfectly smooth. At about 7400 miles now and the problem has never come back.

Hello ....hope I am posting properly. My c8 developed a hesitation on launch which takes approximately half a second off of a normal time of 2.8 or 2.9 seconds.
When reviewing PDR you can see and hear on bad shift the engine goes over the red line about 200 rpm were as a normal shift it is just below the redline about 100-150 rpm
Chevrolet can't find anything wrong. 2 dealers and 2 different "TECT" guys came out and said everything normal so therefore I am imaging the hesitation, BULL !!
yet they see it going over the redline and hitting rev limiter for a split second. GM is involved again and I told them I want someone in the Corvette dept. or team to review the images
videos and then tell me nothing is wrong even though they see it and hear it hesitate.

have them check your timing and injectors, if either is malfunctioning it will cause similar issues to one another.
I think i was the first to have the cam magnet issue a couple years ago and it threw timing off but others have had a bad injector with similar symptoms. Neither throw a cel. You need a good tech to drive it and have his computer hooked up watching for whatever it is they watch for. Good luck.
the first time I took it to the dealer they had 2 specialist "TACK"?? come out and they drove it for about 50 minutes according to my chevy app and it showed where they drove it. However they shut off the PDR.
They found nothing.
The second dealer I drove the car with the TACK technician and he did have the computer hooked up and took data while I did 2 launches and one was bad and one was "ok" but not perfect like before this
all started. He did his magic on the engine and they told me to drive it 8 cycles but nothing changed. I now have an active case but I have told GM that I will not bring it to the dealer as their mechanics do the same thing and say the same thing so I have insisted they send the 2 videos from my PDR to someone in the corvette engineering dept and give me an explanation to the obvious over revving and the hesitation you can hear.
I have played it non mechanics and my friends who know nothing about mechanics and they definitely hear a hesitation and a "manual transmission like shift"
