Default Can’t decide Corsa or Borla

I’ve watched videos until my eyes and ears hurt and I just can’t decide which to go with. The Borla Atak or the Corsa with muffler. I have a z51 and want to keep all 4 valves. Sound is just hard to tell on a video. I wish there was someone close to hear them.
Anyone here that has heard them in person and can give me their thoughts on differences? Or if anyone is around Charlotte that has one of these I can listen to I’d appreciate it.

I am going with the Borla S-Type….the Atak is just too loud for me based on the db numbers I have seen.

I agree. I have the Borla S-type on my C8. A friend has the ATAK on his. He likes the ATAK but mostly drives in tour and sport exhaust mode because of the volume. Just plain too loud in my opinion. I think the S-type is the sweet spot and drive mine full open in track exhaust mode, set that way in MyMode and Z mode.

I believe sport track and Z are valves completely open.

One of the reasons I went with Borla was due to their GM-validated heat shielding. I prefer the look and sound of Corsa, but didn't like how it comes in 13-peices vs. Borla's three. I much prefer the fact the Borla is welded together with far less connections for leaks or misalignment; all those clamps just annoy me!

I drove my 2021 C8 home Monday with the new ATAK installed. I love it!

Yes, the valves are open in both sport and track modes. However, it is the amount of time they are open that makes the difference. In track they are open almost all of the time (only closed when federal regulations made GM close them). In sport, not so much. Open when under acceleration but not at steady throttle, idle, etc. In Z mode it depends on how you have set the exhaust sound - they can be any mode.

I have mine set to track in MyMode and Z mode because the sport setting is definitely different and quieter much of the time. With the Borla S-type you can really tell the difference.

Hard choice against the two. Personally, I would go with the Borla ATAK (Yes its loud but sounds like thats what you're going for) From our experience, dealing with any issues that comes up, Borla is great to handle it.

We have them in stock and on sale, text us for best prices.
