Default C8 Stage 2 build (tbd)

My stage 2 build is still being determined but the clutch that is required is a known quantity.

hurts the soul to pay $7,000 bucks for a clutch.

why... Oh....why are C8s so expensive to mod.

sportsman clutch on about every other car. $3k to $5k

nope. Not on the C8

more details to follow for the build.

Mine was $8K with gaskets, fluids and filters because I had them do a full service on the transmission while it was apart.

Hopefully thats the last time the clutch needs to be touched during my ownership.
Did you get any other details from BoostDistrict on their stage 2 offering?

not in stone. Generally...up to the customer.

fuel needs upgraded (low, high, injectors) (any/all)
cam options
pistons/rods
Head work
more boost
clutch
short block options as well if wished for

thats kind of the high level flyby. Not sure what my build will wind up being. I'll post once it's known.

I know what you mean. There’s about a dozen reason for the cost these days. Be thankful you don’t have a GTR where you’d have to build the trans for an easy $16K for a stage 3 to get by if beating on it. Depending on the power levels you want from that car a stage 4 is what it really needs at $23K. Don’t even ask about the other stages. Sky is the limit on that car.The trans did get better through the years though.

The C8 DCT seems very strong gear wise and such. Just not the clutches. Then there’s limited room as of now for stacking the clutch’s in the basket.
