I saw a while back where someone has added the front lift to their 1LT by using factory parts wired to a switch instead of the navigation. Has anyone done that on here or know what parts are needed to do it?
I can't imagine it would be worth it. Pump, reservoir, shocks with the lift option, hydraulic lines, ride height sensors, wiring and a whole slew of hardware. I would like to see the thread if it's been done.
The price of parts purchased separately, the pain of figuring out all the parts needed, figuring out how everything goes together and the sheer amount of labor involved - it just doesn't seem worth it to me.
If you have a driveway that you NEED a lift because your car is scraping i get it. Other than that imho it is not needed and you can avoid driving over curbs if you know how to drive.
I've had 4 corvettes 3 new. None with lift latest is a C8 Z06. A C8 especially with its shorter front overhang is so unlikely to scrape somewhere unless you are not paying attention.
Here's the truth. I scraped one of my Z06s back in the day a 2016 that no lift on earth would've saved me because it was in the middle of a left turn in traffic and I did NOT see the dip. And it did nothing but make a few marks on the underside the splitter.
The lift is complicated and numerous additional points of failure..
If your corvette is a daily?? OK. There's a reason. But if its a toy for use on nice days and is garaged? No reason unless you have a shifty driveway angle. Save the aggravation.
