I just got a 2020 and have questions. I'll search first but then post. I'll try and keep my questions to one thread and delete answered questions. Thanks to those that answer..
I never got the PO info so I took it in for a oil and filter and trans filter. I know it's overdue for a flush but will just leave it at that.
The car has 8800 miles on it and I see there is a 7500 required trans service. I sent GM a email about it, I have read it may be a free service? I will try to get the previous owners contact info from the dealer so I can get mod/ service history.

Any dealer should be able to tell you if the free service was completed and at what mileage.
The free service is only good for two years from date of delivery, so you're out of luck on that. Hopefully the previous owner did the DCT filter replacement at 7500 +/- 500 miles. If not, do it soonest.
What does it do? Is it just a spot to put your phone or is there some function. My iPhone 6S doesn't have wireless charging and I suspect the doc can do that if your phone has it. Anything else (if the phone has the capability).
Separate question. I dropped by the dealer today to ask what they have in the GM system for my car, no service visits since new (now has 8800 miles) Oil life is 40 something % and the trans life 60 something % so I know it's had some service done. I trying to get in contact with e the previous owner but may not be able to.
The dealer I stopped into today quoted me $200 for oil changes and $600 for trans service. I saw much higher prices for the trans service in the thread here...
The C6 was so easy to do a oil and filter change. Once under the C8 is it any harder, motor oil change? Link to a oil change thread?
You mentioned you were going to look for stuff before posting. It really doesn't sound like you're looking. The phone dock and oil change are easily found with google.
When Mike answered I replied (Thank you for the link and not adding commentary, very much appreciated.) If you feel that I did not search to an extent you are happy with fine, don't answer. I don't need the commentary. I'm new to the electronics on this having had a C4 and C6 with very few electronics and new to the C8 period. The people here in the forums are usually great that they have the experience and know where to find the information and then pass it on. No need for the snippiness.
So, it appears that the dock is for charging which mine doesn't do and nothing else.
Got the HUD figured out, the manual (I have the original paper one) left out a preliminary step.
I don't see anything in either manual about the phone doc.
As noted in the other thread, the HUD rotation is actually in a section that starts on an earlier page, which introduces the steering wheel buttons and how to navigate through the DIC menu. Its not a missing step.
The manual also includes multiple pages on the charging station:

The $600 quote is for a DCT filter change. The DCT fluid needs to be changed at least every 3 years regardless of mileage and is more expensive, usually around $1k. The DCT filter and fluid change can be done at the same time and it should save some money but they are on independant schedules and don't need to be done at the same time. The transmission fluid life monitor doesn't take time into account for some stupid reason so it can't be relied on with respect to the 3 year time limit.
