Catch Can Observations

Installed a Mishimoto catch can just before getting the car out of hibernation at 4000 easy miles. Have a couple of hundred on it now and decided to take a look expecting little to nothing. Surprised to see about a tablespoon in the can. Will be doing a number of HPDE events this season and will report back on what I see. Some say it's not needed and they may be correct but I prefer that oil to be in the can and not back through the intake system. BTW, this car hasn't hit redline but for 2 or 3 times and is driven in Z mode or my mode 90% of the time. I'd recommend using one.

I get roughly 2-4 tablespoons after a track day in mine. It seems to be thinner than the stuff that comes out of the bottle, but not fuel or water.

I put on a Paragon Catch over this winter and now put about 200 miles on my 2023 C8 Z51 and it collect about 2 tablespoons of Oil !!

I will be installing one. Might not be "needed" but it certainly won't hurt and will keep more crap out of the intake.
