Default Driver door hard to close

Bought my 2024 stingray two days ago. I have notice that when the driver window is all the way up and I try closing it takes a lot of effort to close it. You almost have to slam it close. If I close the door with the window down close like butter. The passenger side close like it suppose to. Any one had this problem. I'm thinking it need adjusting around the rubber area. I have 175 miles on it so I will wait and have the dealer look at it when I take it in for the first oil change.

Try re-indexing the drivers side window. It sounds like the window is not indexing when you open the door.

If the window does not retract properly when the door is opened, the glass will jam against the weather stripping when you close the door.

Mine does the same thing. You can see the window indexing whenever you open the door. It will hold that slightly lowered position until the door is shut then the window goes up again. Its not a massive amount, maybe 1/8 in.. Mine indexes the same amount on driver and passenger doors but drivers door requires a very strong pull to shut it.

I did the suggested indexing but it didn't change the amount of movement. There does not appear to be a way to set the amount of indexing, seems set in the software. I've only got close to 300 miles on mine but it seems to be improving.

When I park in my garage I slightly lower the drivers window about an inch so I'm not slamming the door. I think it just stiff new seals that will soften in time.

Has this issue improved at all for you? I’m having the same issue with my 21’ coupe that was recently purchased.

Is the window indexing? Should drop about 1/4 inch when door opens. If not perform relearn

Put the window down and close the door. If it closes as it should then try reindexing the window. If it still closes hard after reindexing then there is probably something wrong with the indexing or the weatherstripping in the window area.
If it still
closes hard with the window down then there is something wrong with the door/latch or the weatherstripping in the door area.

This is an interesting topic. If the door is indexing properly I wonder if it is just not aligned properly? My pass side takes slightly more effort to close. When I say slightly I mean my driver side seems to suck in the door perfectly with no effort, pass side you have to shut as normal like the rest of my cars. I dont have to slam it, I just have to give a bit more effort if that makes sense. I never really bothered with it because it so minor. With that said I wonder if there is any "slight adjusting at the bolts. I hung doors at the old NUMMI plant in early 2000's during my college summer days and let me tell you, there was some adjustment. I am comparing a 2000 Corolla to a 2023 Corvette and I am sure chit has changed but perhaps the dealer can get it fit a hair better. I dont want them touching because I do not feel a dealer is a body shop so I just leave it. Hell mine might even be better now. I dont open and close the pass door. LOL

Same issue on driver door. Window index's but it's like it's not dropping enough to clear the weatherstripping. Hopefully it will work better in a few more miles. 2024 that I picked up a few days ago.

FWIW, I now have 1500 miles on my 5 month old car and the driver's door still requires a bit of a slam to get it to latch with the window up. It closes nice and easy with the window down and yes the window is indexing. All of the weather stripping looks fine to me. Maybe it just needs more time.

I just reprogrammed the driver's window (again) and now the door shuts fine, just like the passenger door. I had just driven the car so maybe the battery was in a better state when I programmed this time.

My z06 was the same way. After about a month or so it "loosened up" and works smooth now
