C8 brand new stranded me on the side of the freeway. Dealership said it was to get a brand new transmission and after a month it was completed. About 1,000 miles later I was in an accident. I was broadsided by someone that turned into me with an illegal left hand turn at about .5 seconds to impact. I braked hard, hard as the car had ever been asked to stop. CHP notated that the brakes came apart on the right front and were down the hill. There was only 1 skid mark on the left and it turned into a smudge to the right from when I was hit. EDR Pre Crash Data reflects the brakes failing at about one second - pre impact front right wheel RPM did not slow down, and the left it did, nearly to zero- this is pre-crash data and the impact was on the left.. So it was pre impact and not on the side of the impact either. EDR reflects electronic stability control also failed at 1 second pre impact. Traction Control EDR reflects was off until but Active at .5 seconds.

Does anyone have a theory as to why the brakes on the right would have not worked on such a brand new car? But also a car that had a full transmission replacement at 900 miles. Thank you in advance for your comments..

Sounds like a matter for your insurance company to take up with NTSB and GM. You either had a flawed rotor or pad, but I'm guessing rotor from the way you describe it. I'm guessing the car is getting totaled out and you're hopefully compensated fairly to get a brand new replacement.
