Default Door Panel Drain Hole Flaps

Hi all. I attached a pic of one of the rectangular door drains with rubber grommet and flap, (the rubber "flap" is a separate piece that fits into the top of grommet on two nylon pins). As shown, the loose end of the flap (yellow arrow) which can be pushed upwards is oriented toward the inside of the door, facing the interior. All four of mine are that way, but trying to eliminate the cause of an issue with a lot of water laying on the top part of the sills after a hard rain or wash while parked. Could someone please verify that is the correct way for the grommet/flap to be oriented? Would not be beyond the factory to reverse them in error. Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Found that all four grommets were installed incorrectly at the factory with the open end (yellow arrow pictured above) oriented toward the inside/interior of the car instead of toward the outside with the open side of the flap facing toward the outside of the door. This allowed water to accumulate on the top and middle part of the sill instead of draining down and away from the interior side. Quick fix to reverse the grommets.
