I’m looking to purchase a set of forged wheels for my Z06. There are so many wheel manufacturers, and a lot of them tout that they’re high quality, made of T6 6061 forged aluminum, etc. and in a wide range in price as well- between companies like Apex, Forgeline, Forgedline, Signature Wheels, BC Forged, etc.
How do you tell the quality of a wheel? Is there a way to differentiate upon inspection without specialized equipment? Is Apex better than Forgeline? Vice versa? Or are they all the same with just different designs? And for companies like Forgedline, who are more recently in the market, how do their wheels truly line up within their other competitors who are also offering the same T6 6061 forged one piece wheels?
When I was looking, it mostly came down to what I read about the different companies and money. I opted for BC Forged and bought on black Friday and got a great discount at $3290.
