Default storing my C8

I bought my C8 March 11, 2024. It’s just a bad fit. I am pull the car off the road until the dealership gets a nice Grand Sport to trade for. If l leave the trickle charge on it will that be enough for long time storage? Like 6 months to a year. The car has 1700 miles.

If you are talking about the battery tender/maintainer that’s fine and it will keep the battery charged and ready for when you take it out next. I would also add fuel stabilizer like Stabil to the gas tank. Do not use a “trickle” charger as most will overcharge the battery over a longer period of time.

Thanks I am going to use the Corvette charger from my C7. I will put a little Stabil in it. I read so many horror stories about electrical glitches in these cars when they set, I was a little concerned.

Why do you think the dealer will get a Grand Sport? All I've heard is rumors from not very reliable sources. GM has not announced or even hinted that a GS is coming. You could be waiting a long, long time.

I think he's referring to a C7 GS.

In addition to the battery maintainer, I'd put fresh oil in the engine before storage and, as someone already mentioned, Stabil in the gas tank.
