I'll just leave this here. I think a lot of the armchair benchmarks being bandied about aren't taking into account something that apparently has a LOT bigger factor in performance than we really consider.
Seems like it might be a good idea to include date of tread design/rubber compound debut--not just MFG year....

I've had the previous DWS's on my old car--and I loved them. I can't imagine how much better they are now. I trust ZE GERMANS to make tires much better than I trust ZE FRENCH.
