Default Sticky Door Latches

When I open the door, passenger or driver, sometimes the latch stick and only partway opens, I have to press the door button again to get it to release. Sometimes it opens with just one press. Is this normal?

2024 C8
Thanks

Yes, it is normal, a few other threads on this. Best way I have found to get the door open in one shot is to put a little outward pressure on the door before hitting the button.

The important thing to know is that you need to press and hold the button until after you have opened the door. Do that and your problems will disappear.

One thing that I read on here a long time ago is that you need to get your hand in the proper position. If you plant your hand forward on the release handle you will feel an indentation for your end finger (index finger on left hand for driver's door, pinky on left hand on passenger side) and then pull up with all four fingers, and it releases completely. I thought this was bull until I tried it and it works.

I think we are talking about the button inside the car, not the exterior door release. And yes, you did read that here but if you just pull and hold the outside lever it works every time. No need to put a finger in the indentation - that just makes sure you get a firm grip on the release.
