A pic of the OEM LT2 and another before it went back in with mods.
Build: Haltech CAI, LPE 95mm throttle body, LPE intake, TSP heads and cam, AFE ceramic coated headers, Corsa NPP exhaust. Dyno'd at 538! FF going on this month, trying to close in on 600WHP.

Reason: how about some attachments!
Cool build. You'll be sitting at upper 550s, low 560s with FlexFuel. Nothing to sneeze at. Even with a raised rev limiter in manual mode, I think you need more cubic inches to hit 600whp.

Hopes and dreams of exceeding 600! 416 build, coil overs, and aux radiator are next on the list
You're going to get there easily with the 416 cubic inch build for sure. Any reason you don't want to just go whole hog and do the 427? Cost?
Some considerations:
- This car and build is track focused. I dont really care much for 1/8 or 1/4 drag racing.
- I plan to stay NA, no FI.
- I am at 538WHP now for under $20k. I will likely be approx 550+ with FF. (Yes, I was previously hoping for closer to 575-600 but meh maybe that was overly optimistic)
- From what my shop and I have discussed so far the 416 build will be less than $10k but not much less so in the end the cost factor is not a positive or a negative.
- I think the LPE 427 is approx $30k for 700HP so lets assume aprox 600-610WHP. Yes I believe that was on 91 so clearly room for improvement and likely the better long term platform if I wanted to build upon the 427.
- Some smarter folks than me can weigh in here but the 416 build with FF should result in over 650WHP. (Seems to be a tried and true combination on Camaros) Combine this with the goal of staying with a local shop that I trust instead of shipping back and forth to LPE each time I have an issue and pretty easy decision. I have nightmares about my Mitsu build and having to deal with non local tuners and living in a state with strict emissions. Somehow the car knew each time emissions inspection was due and would oblige with random CELs that are an automatic fail.
If i planned on more after the 416 build then the 427 would likely win but I think approx 650WHP is going to be about perfect for this platform on the track.
