Default mag ride

Is it possible to have a dealer install mag ride on my '22 Z51? Cost?

It would be more cost effective to sell the car and buy one with mag ride. And no dealer is going to touch that with a 10-foot pole.

Unlikely. It's not just the shocks themselves it's the array of accelerometers ar each wheel that provide position info to the control that manages how they work. Need all to make it happen.

On my 2014 C7 Z51 I did not have MRC and drove in Track Mode all the time for the faster Throttle tipin and reduced nannie intervention.

When I bought my 2017 Grand Sport no choice it came with MRC. I had to drive in Touring to get about the same ride I had with my 2014 C7 Z51! In Sport was harsh when I hit a bump. But Touring comes with a slower Tip-in and with my standard shift was not as good as my 2014 Z51 standard shift taking off from a Stop. So I added a throttle controller to reduce the Touring slow throttle tip-in.

GM then offered a MRC update that reduced the harshness in Sport. I paid the #350 and got it. Sport was fine about the ride I had in my none MRC 2014. I drove in Sport 99% of the time. Can't really use Track Mode as that is very harsh. Frankly the difference between tour and Sport is not that different. Someone descibed Track as you could feel if going over a dime!

I would agree 100%. I love to drive in Z Mode, but damn it's harsh on anything but a smooth paved road or track. Sport is liveable, and Touring is quite cushy, too much for me unless I'm on a long, steady highway drive.

Hmm, you can set the Ride in Z-Mode to the softest setting, Touring! No reason it should be harsh I have ride set to Sport as in NE SC we don't have frost created potholes. Roughest ride I have is over RR Tracks!

I only drove my 2020 C8 and now drive my E-Ray in two modes, Z-Mode where I have Power/Trans set to Track AND MY Mode set to Sport. But have brakes and NPP set to Track in both. Steering and Ride set to Sport in both.

Yea, my own doing as I have the suspension setting in Z mode full firm. Maybe time for a little experimentation.

Yep for making 1+ peak "g" turns can always switch to Track Mode!

I seldom use the Mode Control ****. I do most everything with the Z-Mode steering wheel button. Always stop in My Mode where it also starts. If at a light soon to turn Green I press the Z-Mode button before I come to a full stop and it will not go into Stop/Start. When I leave the light in traffic I press Z-Mode again and it goes back to MT Mode.

Making an aggressive turn, press Z-Mode before I get there, apply the brakes hard and it downshift at high rpm. Depending on speed may downshift 2 gears, Rev Matching each in the blink of an eye. After the turn, depending on area and traffic, back to MY Mode. Fpr my street driving Sport Ride good enough for fast turns.
