Hello, curious what the best drag tire set up on the factory wheels you guys are using. I bought the nitro 555r 2 s. They’re spinning pretty bad with the extra power from the supercharger off the line.. I’m OK with going to an 18”inch wheels as long as they r replicas to my black trident.. please chime in guys, and gals.I know there’s probably lots of stuff on here, but I’d appreciate it if you guys could update me with the latest suggestions on Drag radials good that hook with extra power on the supercharger and C8.
thanks in advance!

ET Street R is what you want.
Lose the idea of 18” replicas and get some lighter wheels.
I would just do the Hoosiers drag radials/slick. They are pretty darn good and you can run them at 30 psi. I borrowed a set and was able to pull a 1.61 60ft. And that was with no seat time.....only two passes. I really thought the Nitto's 555Rlls would hook well with these cars. Was the track itself an issue or just the tire? My trip to track is about 50 miles one way. I do not feel comfortable with driving the Hoosiers that far.
I was able to pull a low 1.6 60 foot time before the supercharger. I haven’t ran these tires at the dragstrip yet, but they spent all over the place on the street at 30 psi. I don’t wanna have to change my tires just to go to the track. I don’t think I have enough power 600 real wheel horsepower to warrant drag slicks. I’m gonna try these 555r2 tires when our track opens in April. I know I’m gonna have to let the air out of them probably down to about 15 pounds and try and get some kind of a burnout to get them to hook. I know the guys at LMR are recommending the Toyo 888 rs. I may end up buying a set of those. I had them on my c7 zo6 650 rear wheel horsepower and they hooked pretty good but they were noisy as hell.
In my experience their is no "best of both worlds", you want the best 60' you'll need the best tire. I'm a big fan of the Mickeys. I really like the lightweight Hoosier DR2 but I couldn't hook like the MT's. I do have Toyo R888 on my Eray now, and cut a 1.48 60', but I'm leaning towards going back to old faithful to go quicker. I agree on the noise of the Toyo's too. Good luck with your search.
The Stingray had 325/18 MT R. My Eray has the Toyo but I'll eventually go to a 305/20 SS. My old 18's won't fit because of the CCBs.
Best 60' in the Stingray was 1.51.
I have had 345's in both toyo R888R and nitto NT555r2 on the same 19 inch rims and so far it seems the Toyos on my car hook better. Im going with MT ET street in 325's next which is what I should have got in the first place.
