First time my check engine light has stayed on after starting. Everything seem fine...
Anyone used code readers that work well?
My onstar expired hmmm
Update - finally got my app to connect. It says issue detected with exhaust emission system. OK. Off to the dealer we go...
Update 2:Started the car and no engine light Drove to the dealer to get the code. She said it showed cylinder 1-3-5-8 (something like that) not firing. But the car runs fine.
Taking it in Monday for them to check.. Maybe something is just loose. Wil elt them find it.

…I popped my 1st one pulling out of a parking spot last month. Check engine light was on. Stopped and restarted several times and it wouldn’t clear. Drove straight to dealer, they pulled multiple codes, but couldn’t fit me in for a week, and I drove it home. It wasn’t until the car went to sleep that all the codes were cleared the next morning. My App even registered the false code too…
….some around here say to leave the door open for 10 mins and let it go to sleep and that will clear false codes…

Edit: never mind. See post 5 by @OnPoint and post 6. Sorry.
Well.....if it had been 2,3,5 and 8 not firing....those coincidentally are the cylinders with the collapsible lifters. It would not necessarily mean lifter failure...but it could mean that the system that controls them has collapsed them all. Even when they are collapsed (normally) the spark plugs still fire. But there not fuel so there is no cylinder firing. That is detectable as a misfire. But its all speculation on my part. The car would not run normally if they were collapsed all the time.
