My 2024 Z06 was being driven very slow in a parade. After about 25 minutes , without any alarms, I stopped and shut the car off and a popping noise came from it. Can anyone help explain this? Did I hurt the engine?

Why is "overheating" in your thread title? Your post does not say you had an overheat warning. What did the temperature gauge say? Did you seen any signs of overheating like steam or feel heat? Or is the pop sound the only symptom? Is it running now? More detail needed on symptoms (if there were any). Is the coolant level normal?
I guess I shouldn't have presumed it overheated. Now it was my wife driving and she relayed me the information. She corrected me on the sound , it was a HISSING sound. Driving slow, then stopping and hearing a hiss made me think safety valve. temp 105C. No steam or heat. hiss only symptom and I have it in storage since, i had been out of province.. I did start it. All fluid Levels normal. 1100.km on car. Soory for the poor description.
They're not a 'hissing' sound, per se, but do whir; a rush of air driven by a small electric fan. Am wondering if your wife heard that as a 'hiss'. The 'popping' sound is odd, though.
Yes, then very likely a fan! Two in the back, and two in the front. And, very often (well sometimes), they will come on right after the car is shut off. Happens sometime when I am driving mine, then pull into the garage and shut off the engine.
