Default Seat Belt Guide Annoying!

Anyone have a solution to the seat belt slipping out of the guide on the driver and passenger seats? Damn annoying. Don't want to use duct tape!

In 3 years and over 18K miles on 3 different C8s, I think the seat belt guide has come loose on my cars maybe 2-3 times (all with GT2 seats). Make sure the guide straps are snapped in properly. If you have GT1 seats, various companies make

Any chance its possible to upgrade them somehow to the snap type ? Does not look the OEM snap would easily replace it, put perhaps some improv.
Or get a short piece of clear vinyl tube of appropriate diameter and fit across the gap as illustrated. Edit: or buy the pop clip in the above post - I did not see that before posting my suggestion, but it looks good!

I took a piece of plastic tubing 1-3/4 long than the belt retain opening and muscled it on. fine so far.
Cheers

The link above is just to some crappy vinyl, you can find the same at the hardware store or go with the tubing as suggested.

I 3D printed a snap on clip that, IMO, looks much better and functions.

Had that issue with my C7's E-Ray 3LZ has snaps.
$14 on Amazon, looks professional:

This is the Best Solution to the "slipping shoulder harness guide" problem. It's better than my "sliding on black tubing" suggestion.
How do I find these parts at Amazon?

I love shrink tubing! It good for so much more than just wires. And its available in very large diameters. I've used it to coat brackets I fabricated. Also to create a seal around a tie rod end. Not the C8, but a tractor tie rod.

Hmm same way you use Google, think about what you should type! I just typed "C8 Corvette Seat Belt fix. Got it." That is why Amazon is so good. Like Google they can find thinks quickly with any number of semi logical words! Try it!!

Actually, I think Amazon's search is the worst. It comes up with all sorts of things that aren't pertinent to your search. Put in the part number for a Chevy tail light and it will suggest all sorts of similar part number tail lights, including other manufacturer's tail lights. If you aren't paying attention you can wind up ordering something that won't work and that is bad for both parties. And Google s similar with sponsored items. I wish they had an option to only show items that I've searched for then show items that I'm not looking for if they feel they must.

Yep terrible for you BUT their plan!
I agree you must be careful as both have so much info about you they try to show something you just might buy! Scary. I'm convinced Alexa who is "supposed" to wait for her name before listening is spying all the time! Yep, Google makes their money selling folks like Amazon what you have searched etc. They also post their clients ads on top of a search response. Putting in part number may not help.

SIDEBAR
When I ordered the Jake Weather floormats before my E-Ray arrived I put in the part GM Part # in Google since most "dealers" were showing backordered. Thought perhaps I'd find someone who had in stock.
  • Sure enough a Corvette "stuff' Vendor you often see showed up on the top line. Did not show backorder so I bought. It came in a few days and when I opened the box, the mats were WeatherTech NOT the GM part. Had GM Jake mats in my 2020 C8 and these were lighter and IMO not as good.
  • Turned out the cryptic ad on that Vendor website did not say WeatherTech.
  • I went to the Vendor I paid and said I did not want the product. He responded "the product has not shipped I'll return your money." I emailed and stated I already had it!
  • He said they must be from someone else! Thought??
  • He finally responded and said yes his vendor did not tell him the product had shipped! Said I would have to return to them.
  • They were not even the vendor, they were using their Website as a reseller for another small company who had shipped the product.
  • So I paid the shipping to have it returned.
  • Then I was charged a restocking charge after the product was received!
So I placed my order with the vendor where I bought my prior Jake Mats and other things from for my 2020 C8 ShopChevyParts.com Great Supplier, said the same as others backordered and excepted after my car was to arrive.
Turned out they came in early and I received a few days before my PDI! Thank goodness as when I drove the E-Ray home it was raining Cats & Dogs. Wipers going max speed the whole ~40 mile trip home. I was able to install the Jake Weather mats before pulling it out of the dealership. Still have the Artemis OEM Mats in the sealed plastic bags.

Only benefit is I found out how well AWD is in rain, even with 345 rear tires. Mine are ZER Option summer tires BUT have a tread fine for sheading water.
Last night I had to go into town when it was raining, pretty hard when I started. Where with prior Vettes I would have used my wife's AWD SUV, took the E-Ray. Set to Weather Drive Mode it handled great. Even when hitting pretty large puddles. Yep it's an all weather car now! We don't get show in NE SC (well every few years and not much) but would be fine in small amount.
