Default LT2 Engine limits?

I have searched and cant find what a thread or the info I am looking for so, started this one.

What are the LT2 limits / and week points? For example LT1 C7 cars the piston ring lands sucked and 600-650 rwhp seems to be the limit on those. and with both the LT1 and LT4 the DI fuel system. That was stair stepped up with dsx aux pump, cam fuel lobes, and finally bigger pricy injectors.

I am seeing cicio toss out boost piggy back fueling set ups making 900? stock short blocks? what changed on the pistons? how about the fueling?

what is the "safe" limit on a LT2 if fueling and boost is done right?

I would call Cicio performance and get firsthand information. Cordes is another option.

I would call Cicio and get firsthand information. Or CPR, CSP, LMR. Just talk to the people that are doing it, they are the ones that know the safe limits.

LT1's are most certainly not limited to 6-650 wheel, awful tuners gave them that rap. We have pushed SBE LT'1s to mid 800 wheel and further, 1/2 mile raced them, drag, roll, etc. We have built more 730-50 wheel LT1's SBE than I can recount and no failures to date.

LT2's we take them just as far and zero issues. Here is the big thing on the C8's SHOPS LIE A LOT about how much you can make on pump gas and the stock fuel system. It is amazing to me how bad it is. On a bone stock car with a turbo kit you will make on 91 octane 580-630 wheel depending on brand of turbos and intercooler core used. You WILL NOT make anywhere close to 700 wheel on pump gas stock low side. This on 6-7 lbs.

Blower combos on 91 octane will do about 560'ish wheel on 6-6.5lbs for a amgnuson 2650, and around 570-580 on a procharger. Add 20-25 wheel for 93 roughly.

some say 600-650, SOME say 700 is the safe limit on ringlands on LT1 but not hear to argue that. I personally have ran of out fuel on a procharged LT1 at 615 rwhp. I did not pulley up and start adding fuel as it was then going to be pushing limits on a DD anyway.

So the Stock fueling limit on a LT2 is around the same as a LT1, good info

Same fuel tricks? Larger cam Fuel lob to stroke the High side pump, aux pump for low side? How are the Hi side pumps vs LT1 or the LT4? I know the LT4 had a higher limit then LT1.

How are the pistons? ring lands on the LT2, are they much different then LT1? So say you have fueling handled weather old way, or piggy back secondary injection. Whats the limits on the LT2 short block to run safely?

600rwhp is the max I’d go these things aren’t Coyotes. Can you go higher? Probably but at that point I’m just doing a bottom end and not worrying about it.
