I'm a month out of warranty on my C8 and, as you can imagine, have my first failure. No audio inside the vehicle whatsoever. No blinkers, sensor alerts, music. Everything looks fine on the dash, just doesn't make a sound. I've done enough searching through the forums to see that the Audio Amplifier has failed for no reason, for many of you. Exact same symptoms.
The old one did not get wet. Car has been parked in a warm, dry garage since the last time it was driven, three days ago. Beatiful day and the stereo worked fine. I've tried leaving the car door open with the car off for an hour. Unplugging the negative battery cable for a half hour. Nothing will restore the audio.
My local dealership is sadly a month out before they can get me in for the repair. I'd really love to drive the car with alerts before then.
I've got the 14 speaker Bose system. My VIN calls for amplifier part number 87826269.
If I order a new amp, is it something I can swap out myself (under the passenger side floor), or does it need to be programmed to the car?

It is truly heartbreaking to hear your audio went out shortly after your warranty expired. Although it is not ideal, we strongly urge you to not drive your Corvette while the alerts, blinkers, or any important sound notifications are inoperative as it poses as a safety threat. Our team would like to get involved and provide an extra layer of support through these repairs. We ask you email us at socialmedia@gm.com with more information surrounding your Corvette and the appointment details. Please include your Username and the Forum title in the subject line so we can reference back to your post here.

The replacement procedure in the manual call for "T3 Audio Amplifier: Programming and Setup", so it would appear that it will require programming, yes.

Thank you. Luckily my appointment has been moved up to 2 weeks. Driving is a little weird without sound. Keep forgetting to turn the blinker off.
Look up how to do a reset on the infotainment system. I've seen similar happen on two different cars (not Vettes) and all they needed was a reset. The thing is really just a computer and sometimes computers go stupid an need reset.

Just coming back to provide an update. The "No audio" issue has been repaired at the dealership.
As I feared, it was diagnosed as a failed amplifier. The amp was returned no communication during initial testing. The technician checked to ensure that there was proper power and ground heading to the amplifier, and there was. The next step was to replace the amplifier with a new one. Once installed and coded to the vehicle, all sound is back.
