Autozone will scan and clear for free
Id just buy a code reader from walmart or harbor freight, it helps on these newer cars. The more advanced units can read codes from the body control module

Easiest is unplug battery, double check all you connections and reconnect batteryu in 30 min. Dont forget the pesky locking pin on the electrical connectors
Heres some options
I have the centec and zuric cr11, zuric can read and clear stuff about suspension other non engine systems.
On my C8 I went with a bluetooth adapted and run the app Torque on my phone, kinda cool because you can see everything the computer sees in real time. Can also set up to auto clear codes like for catless exhaust
