Hello, new to the forum and ZO6 ownership. Any insights/feedback would be appreciated. Took delivery of a 2024 ZO6 with ZO7 package. Came with Cup 2s. Unfortunately I have to replace 2 of the 4 tires. Worst yet front and rear on the same driver side of car (not front or rear same axle). I do not track car, but I still drive it spiritually around town from a dig/use launch control etc. So mostly around town "daily driver" use but would like to take on a state to state drive if the opportunity come up. Also it is my understanding that Cup 2s don't last as long as 4S in general. So my question is to ensure I have the most performance/traction from a dig/spiritual driving around town will I lose a lot of traction changing to 4S? Is any loss worth the benefit?
Also the current Cup 2s have approximately 4200 miles on them. If I decide to stay with Cup 2s should I replace the other two Cup 2s on the passenger side? Will having two new Cup2s on the left side and two "used" Cup 2s on the right side cause a problem?
Cup 2s are a one trick pony. PS4s are an all around better value. They even work surprising well on track. I've driven with the PS4s Cup 2s and Nankang CRSs all on the street and track within a short period of time of each other. The Cup 2s are my least favorite. Thankfully I got them at 1/2 price.
For what it’s worth I wasn’t impressed with the longevity of the 4S on track… had 6k miles and then after one track weekend at Pocono they were gone with some chunking. Was watching pressures (okay) but alignment probably a factor since I was only at -1.1 and outer edges took the most beating. (Will be more aggressive next time)
just got Cup 2s last week and anxious for the track… no usable information to pass on other than that they HOOK and got a PR 0-60 lol.
