Phil, THANKS SO MUCH for going the extra mile and measuring your original plug. From what I see, it looks like it should work including using the O ring in addition to the crush washer.

I’ll find out in a few days and report back!

You're welcome, glad to try and help out! Please do report back after your setup is in place. Remember to give the OEM plug a sharp snapping motion to loosen it and not a steady pull.

Earl's Performance makes a crush washer with an o ring molded into the I.D.
It's called a Stat-O-Seal.
Used them in the past and they work perfectly.
You can find them on the Holley web page.

The banjo bolt is a low grade M12 bolt. Recommended torque on a M12 class 4.6 bolt is 24 ft-lbs. In this case we aren't looking for clamping strength, only compression enough to cause the washers to seal.

For references:
Wildwood (M10 bolt on the banjo bolt for the caliper)

States 120 in-lbs (10 ft-lbs) do not exceed 144 in-lbs (12 ft-lbs)

Hose and fittings site for banjo bolts:

I find it handy to keep this chart next to my thread gauge (if you don't have a thread gauge get one)

Prevents me from having to look up torque values on everything all the time.
Rich,

A few weeks ago when I PM'd you regarding doing this mod, you said the Banjo fitting was a 6AN to 14mm x 1.5 which is what I ordered. I'm ready to do this mod tomorrow and I'm concerned that it's a 12mm x 1.5 Banjo bolt. You reference 12mm in your reply on torque value above.....

Do you recall is it's 12mm or 14mm Banjo bolt into the DCT ??? I've already got the 14mm size, but if I need to reorder it in 12mm so be it....

thanks,
Richard

Typo before... here's a picture of the top of the plug in question. It shows on the plug M14 x 1.5
