Default 3lt Leather Dash Removal Instructions.

Yep, my dash adhesive has separated along the edges.2023 HTC 3LT.
Additionally, it appears that these edges have dried out more than the other surface of the dash, and one edge seems to have shrunk.
The dash panel in question is the passenger side panel that extends across the dash and covers the airbag - leather w/ red stitch.

I understand this will be covered by 3/36 warranty.
My preference is a complete panel replacement.

Yet, does anyone have a printout of the factory service manual to remove this panel?

I'd like to see what is involved.

See attached……a LOT of work. The typical dealer gorilla wallowing all over the interior with myriad chances to break tabs, strip screws, scratch stuff, grease stains, boot scuffs and squeaks and rattles later on = ughhh.

It’s boggling GM still hasn’t figured out how to bond leather.

Holey Moley... does not look like plug & play.

I only need to remove the Instrumnent panel upper trim panel replaced.
I see the airbag is attached to it.

No short cut?
Center front floor console, rear compartment close out panel, and instrument panel knee bolster all need to be removed?

Really need an experienced tech to do this, yes?

PS Thank your GSVette

Before you take your car in for warranty work, VERY highly suggest that you REALLY inspect your left & right door panels also.

Porsche has this same problem, it’s the nature of leather on a hot dashboard to shrink and lift.

There's a channel on youtube, Squirrel Cage garage if I recall right. Great videos, the guy took the interior of the C8 dash apart. I used his videos when I replaced some dash trim panels. Takes a while but if you are comfortable wrenching it yourself its pretty easy, just take your time with each panel.

i'm currently looking at a '21 3LT. The leather dash cover(black) has loosened from the dash (no issues that I can see on edges). When the AC is on in the car the leather smooths out and is not noticible. This car has the translucent roof panel and has spent time in FLA. Has anyone else experienced this? What is the fix?

Pay close attention to the passenger side large panel part in the PDF. The airbag has to be replaced each time this is removed. I have one at my house right now this is how I know. Not cheap.

+Squirrel Cage used it to remove interior panels when I dyed the stiches orange on my 2LT. If under warranty take it into dealer. I know it can be frustrating.
