If you buy an EP14 external Torx Plus socket, it fits them tight and no need to switch.
It continues to amaze me how many folks will change the hardware at a greater expense than just purchasing the correct socket. When you have the correct tool for the job it works great... I mean, it worked well for the assembly men and women, right?

I have the right socket, I still changed to a flange head hex. Even the proper torx socket slips off that shallow head too easy. My personal opinion of course.

In addition to being Torx Plus the bolt heads are low profile. Many of the Torx Plus sockets have too much of a chamfer to properly grip the low profile heads. There are specific low profile sockets but they are expensive. The closest I've seen at a reasonable price are the Lisle sockets:

Or they are prone to stripping and they you are trying to extract from the subframe.......................
